Politics - Modern Artist

Politics (Daniel Acero), known for his paintings created on tridimensional surfaces, was born in 1983 in the serene countryside of Fusagasugá, Colombia. At the age of 14, he relocated to Miami—a city that became the catalyst for his artistic transformation.

With a background in product design, he shifted from functional craftsmanship to sculptural artistry, pioneering a language that blends Realism, Post-Impressionism, Abstraction, Cubism, and Surrealism on three-dimensional surfaces. Each of Politics’ series is a bold experiment in style, reflecting his conviction that originality is born from continuous exploration rather than repetition.

This evolution has led to his current focus: removing facial expression from his subjects to confront the challenge of creating feeling through color, form, and movement alone. By stripping away one of the most recognizable human markers of emotion, Politics invites viewers to discover a deeper resonance in rhythm, palette, and structure.

Throughout history, the greatest artists—Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Goya, Matisse, Kandinsky, Turner, Hockney, and others—demonstrated mastery by refusing to remain confined to one approach. Their transformations across styles reflected curiosity, growth, and a relentless pursuit of new ways to see. Politics embraces this same tradition, ensuring that his work is never bound by a single aesthetic.

Driven by a passion for exclusivity, Politics offers collectors not just a fusion of painting and sculpture, but singular artistic experiences. His tridimensional canvases open doors to unexpected encounters with art—where experimentation, feeling, and innovation merge into works that challenge and captivate.

"Be faithfull to your own ideas"

My work is an expression of my fascination of creating unique and original pieces, I love the process of having an idea and being able to execute and create a physical piece. I seek to explore the relationship between different concepts and bring them to life in different forms and shapes.

My process involves careful observation and study of a particular subject, as well as experimentation with different materials and techniques. I am particularly drawn to the tactile qualities of wood, paint, plastic and metal, and I relish the challenge of shaping these unforgiving materials into fluid, dynamic forms.

Each sculpture or art piece is a unique exploration of movement, texture, and symbolism. I strive to create works that are both visually striking and intellectually engaging, inviting the viewer to contemplate their own relationship with their thoughts and the world around them.

Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to transcend the limitations of the physical form and capture something deeper and more elusive - the essence of what it means to be able to create.

Kinetic Impressions

Kinetic Impressions is a groundbreaking fusion of painting and sculpture, where tridimensional forms take center stage in an exploration of motion, uncertainty, and interconnectedness. This genre redefines artistic expression by breaking away from flat surfaces, embracing sculptural depth, and incorporating dynamic structures that mirror the fluid nature of quantum mechanics.

At its core, Kinetic Impressions emphasizes the power of three-dimensional art to evoke the duality and unpredictability of quantum states. Sculptures emerge as kinetic entities, their shifting forms and intricate textures capturing the essence of particles in motion. These sculptural compositions intertwine seamlessly with painted surfaces, creating a multi-layered visual experience where perception bends and reality shifts.

By pushing beyond traditional artistic boundaries, Kinetic Impressions transforms static artworks into immersive spatial experiences. The interplay of sculptural depth and dynamic textures invites viewers to engage with the work from multiple angles, revealing new perspectives with every shift in viewpoint. This synthesis of painting and sculpture challenges conventional artistic forms, offering a truly captivating and tactile exploration of tridimensional expression.
